Advanced Computer Science (Safe and Secure Systems)
This course with specialism in safe and secure systems will provide student with key knowledge in the area of computer safety and information technology security. Students will learn different skills and knowledge in a range of application domains. Students will also strengthen their skills to build safe and secure systems, by taking modules from the broad range of options available, provided by internationally renowned research groups.
A 2.2 Honours degree (or above) in computer science or other relevant discipline. IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum of 5.5 in each component) or equivalent English test.
Modules typically include: information technology security; research methodology; project planning; software testing; embedded systems; modelling and verification techniques; logic for computer science; writing web and web service applications.
Students will be assessed by a combination of written examinations, coursework and a dissertation.
