War and Society is a collaborative, interdisciplinary MA Degree programme that utilises the range of research expertise in the College of Arts and Humanities.

Course modules

Modules can include: collective memories of war in twentieth century Europe; critical security; Fascism and culture; ghosts of the confederacy (the politics of memory in the post-Civil War American south; human rights and humanitarian intervention; international security in the Asia-Pacific; introduction to advanced medieval studies; new media technologies, society and politics; state of Africa; violence, conflict and development; war in space.
