The courses in Advanced Critical Care Practice aim to further develop experienced critical care nurses to become advanced practitioners in line with current health policy and provide practitioners with the clinical skills and knowledge to provide safe, ethical, competent, evidence based care and treatment at an advanced level in the critical care environment.
Modules typically include: clinical assessment and diagnostic skills; anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology for advanced clinical practice; resuscitation and management of the critically ill patient; professional issues in advanced critical care practice; non-medical prescribing; dissertation.
