Enhanced Professional Midwifery Practice

This programme is a work-based modular postgraduate degree, specifically geared towards the needs of practising and registered midwives. It is practice focused but also supports students to develop skills in reflection and critical thinking. Midwives completing the programme will develop as autonomous learners who can think more critically and apply theory, experience and academic literature to the development and enhancement of their practice- skills which are highly desirable for midwives seeing career development opportunities.
Core modules include: starting your professional development; leadership and professional issues in midwifery; professional practice portfolio. Additional modules are then selected from the work based learning portfolio to achieve 180 credits at Level 7.
