It allows students to acquire hands-on experience of a wide range of industry-standard Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT), Machine Translation (MT), Software Localization, and Terminology Management tools, through both in-depth group work with MA students, and individual study. There will also be opportunities to develop skills in domains such as Public Service Interpreting or digital publishing; alternatively, students may prefer to round out their professional experience with a more academic module in the History and Theory of Translation.
Modules may include: translation tools; translation technologies; advanced translation; translation work experience.
