Management (International Standards)

The programme covers core management concepts such as international marketing, operations management, global strategy, finance and international human resource management. The programme also includes an academic skills module that covers issues such as research methods, presentation skills, group dynamics and employability support. The course is focused specifically on the role of international standards (such as ISO or British Standards) in quality management and improvement and includes highly practical modules focused on how to implement and develop quality standards systems in organisations. As part of this programme students will undertake an independent management consulting style project on international standards.

Entry requirements

Students must attain a 2.2 (or overseas equivalent) in an undergraduate degree. Any degree subject will be considered. All applications will be considered on their merits and individual cases will be looked at so students who fall slightly short of the entry criteria should still apply. English language requirement IELTS 6.0 (minimum of 5.5 in each component) or Swansea University recognised equivalent.

Course modules

Modules may include: independent consultancy project; operations management; managing financial resources; strategy; human resource management; research methods; international standards.
