Leadership for the Health Professions
This interprofessional, multi-level, leadership development programme has been designed primarily for health professionals actively working in health care, education, research or management. The course is suitable for doctors, nurses, academic staff and other health professionals at all stages of their career (including trainees) with a leadership or management role or those aspiring to 1. T
Candidates will require at least a 2.2 Honours degree or equivalent in an appropriate subject. There is also provision for admission that takes into account work experience if applicants have an undergraduate degree below a 2.2 Honours level. Applicants who do not have an undergraduate degree must have significant relevant work (or other) experience, which has been assessed as appropriate by the Admissions Selectors. English language requirement IELTS 6.5 or Swansea University recognised equivalent.
Modules typically include: Contemporary issues in health professions leadership; understanding organisations, systems and services; developing yourself as a leader and managing performance; the learning organisation, teams and groups; social, cultural and economic context of health; developing leadership, innovation and change; research-based dissertation; leadership portfolio.
