Creative Writing

This distance learning course offers students the opportunity to develop their writing practice at the times that work for them, wherever they are in the world. The course is taught throughout by tutors who are both practising creative writers and experienced teachers of creative writing at postgraduate level. The emphasis is on developing practical writing skills and techniques whilst gaining an understanding of own work within a critical context and framework. The course consists of 4 30-credit taught modules plus the creative writing project (60 credit), which is the final portfolio of creative writing. Each module offers students the opportunity to experiment and develop their interests, whether these are in prose fiction, poetry, creative life writing, dramatic writing and screen writing or in using writing to work with people in personal and professional development and healthcare settings.
