Law

The programme is designed to give flexibility and autonomy to allow students to develop their own areas of interest; students can specialise in a substantive and applied area of contemporary legal study relevant to policy and practice; for students interested in more general practice, the course provides a choice of option modules and dissertation topics to allow students to actively follow a wide range of subject areas; the link between legal theory and practice is the central theme of the programme and is incorporated into the teaching through a blend of directed and student-centred learning to develop an understanding of methodology, practice and presentation; this is achieved through a combination of lectures, seminars, group work, debates, audio-visual presentations, guided reading and research exercises.
