Primary Education (Specialist Mathematics)
The course improves students� mathematics teaching at the primary level; students gain a deep knowledge of mathematics from foundation stage up to KS3; they assess, review and support children's learning in mathematics in their own and their colleagues' classrooms.
Degree in relevant subject or equivalent. GCSE mathematics and English grade C. A-level in mathematics at C or above. Where English is not 1st language IELTS 7.0 or equivalent is required. An acceptable enhanced disclosure certificate from the government�s Criminal Records Bureau (CRB). Occupational health clearance. An interview is required. Candidates need to provide evidence that they have undertaken a placement of 10 days observation in a primary school. Those who have graduated in the last 5 years must provide an academic reference from their university.
