This course identifies and reflects upon key concepts in education; develops academic arguments and literacy; enables students to interrogate and question educational theory; allows students to create a bespoke and flexible MA that reflects their interests, needs and lifestyle.
1st degree, 2.2 minimum, or the equivalent (some optional modules may have additional entry requirements).
What is education; introduction to social research.
The 2 modules are assessed by written examination. The mode of assessment may vary for optional modules but most are assessed by written coursework. The dissertation is assessed by a combination of written examination (50 percent) and a 12,000-word dissertation (50 percent).
