Professional Education and Training
This course will give you critical insight into a range of theories, perspectives and approaches for studying policies and practices in professional education and training in a range of contexts and how you might apply these in your workplace. You will develop your understanding of the concept of expertise and the contribution of professional education and work experience in developing expertise to support outstanding individual and team performance, develop your understanding of conceptual and analytical frameworks in professional education and training and how they can be used to develop expertise in different contexts, and enable you to acquire knowledge, skills and confidence to operate, manage and lead effectively and creatively in diverse and changing institutions and organisations at local, national and international level.
A good first degree and relevant professional experience.
Assessment is by coursework assignments of up to 5,000 words, essays and portfolios with reflective statements, and a 20,000-word dissertation or 10,000-word report.
