Hebrew and Jewish Studies
Research areas include: Ancient, medieval and modern Hebrew; ancient, medieval and modern Jewish history; Aramaic; Syriac; Akkadian; Sumerian; Yiddish.
An arts or social science degree with at least upper 2nd class Honours from a UK university (or an equivalent overseas qualification) and a demonstrated knowledge of Hebrew or Yiddish, or another appropriate language. Students whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 7.0 or equivalent (with minimum 6.0 in each component).
Assessment methods include dissertation.
