Strategic Management of Projects
For professionals who aspire to lead in the management of projects and programmes, this programme prepares students for project executive roles in shaping and delivering corporate and project strategy.
Evidence of achievement and/or impact in your industry (e.g. promotion, project scope, professional recognition, etc.) A good undergraduate degree or equivalent professional qualification. Candidates with significant relevant experience and impact in their industry may be exempted from this requirement. A minimum of 2 years experience in project-based work or project-based organisation.
Core modules: Foundation course (the management of projects); foundation course (tomorrow's company); key knowledge areas (relationships and marketing); key knowledge areas (economics and finance); key knowledge areas (supply chain management); key knowledge areas (managing innovation and technology); project lifestyle (exploring project requirements); project lifestyle (the management of design); project lifestyle (the project operational legacy); project lifestyle (governance and control).
The programme is delivered through a combination of case-based learning, peer-based learning and lectures and workshops from leading practitioners, policy-makers, entrepreneurs and academics. Students are required to have sufficient breadth and depth of knowledge to challenge and inform others. Assessment is primarily through written coursework and the research report.
