Telecommunications with Business
The programme isdesigned to address the market need for highly skilled technical managers in the ICT and telecommunications industry that have a broad knowledge across both technology and business.
Normally a minimum of an upper 2nd Class Honours degree in a relevant discipline from a UK university or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard. Individuals with significant industrial experience (and without such a qualification) may also be considered.
Core Modules: Introduction to telecommunications networks; strategy, marketing and product management; finance and business environment; customer service, operations and planning; organisational design, people management and innovation; options: Mobile communications systems; communications systems modelling; software for network services and design; interactive multimedia systems; network and services management; next generation networks; introduction to ip networks; network planning and operations.
Student performance is assessed through unseen written examination, coursework, design exercises and the dissertation.
