Principal research interests include: Marine vehicle dynamics; submarines; flow modelling; fracture mechanics; fatigue; marine vehicle system design through computer-aided engineering/computer-aided design; drilling technology; mooring systems; subsea engineering; materials performance; offshore platform automation; non-destructive evaluation; defence systems engineering.

Entry requirements

Normally a UK Master's degree, or a minimum of an upper 2nd Class Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline from a UK university, or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard.
