Applied Educational Leadership and Management

The course is designed for education leaders or anyone aspiring to be a leader or manager in a school or college, or work in an educational planning, development or inspection role for a national or regional organisation. It will equip students to contribute towards the improvement of educational systems and institutions, and to reflect on the quality of the learning and teaching they manage.

Entry requirements

A minimum of a 2nd Class Bachelor's degree from a UK university, or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard, in any subject, and at least 2 years' relevant work experience. If taking IELTS, applicants must obtain an overall grade of 7.0 with a minimum of 6.5 in the reading subtest and 6.0 in the writing subtest.

Leadership for the learning community; learning and managing educational change and improvement; developing personal leadership skills; exploring educational policy; finance and resource management; values, vision and moral purpose.
