Advanced Biomedical Imaging
The course equips imaging students from all science backgrounds with detailed knowledge of the advanced imaging techniques which provides new insights into cellular, molecular and functional processes.
A minimum of an upper 2nd Class degree in a scientific or medical discipline or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard.
Core modules: Advanced biomedical imaging techniques 1 and ii; practical preclinical research (including home office personal license); translational medical imaging of disease and therapy 1 and ii; science communication for biomedicine; medical imaging (translating imaging into the clinic); ethics and regulation of research.
The programme is delivered through a combination of seminars, lectures, laboratory work, site visits and practicals. Assessment is through examination, presentations, essays, practical reports and the dissertation.
