Orthodontics (Advanced Training)

This is a programme that combines theory, practical elements, teaching and research with personal treatment sessions and new-patient diagnostic clinics. The programme addresses treatment of (and research into) malaligned teeth, abnormalities of jaw relationships and facial growth. Patients with a wide range of malocclusions are treated by graduates under senior staff supervision. The programme is based on the national curriculum and is delivered through lectures, practical and technical teaching elements, clinical seminars, tutorials, self-directed learning, and supervised clinical treatment of patients.

Entry requirements

All applicants must hold an approved dental qualification and have a minimum of 2 years' clinical experience.
