The Ulster University formed in 1984 when the New University of Ulster at Coleraine and the Ulster Polytechnic at Jordanstown came together, bringing Magee College in Londonderry and the Art College in Belfast with them, the University now has over 23,000 local, national and international students that study at undergraduate to postgraduate degree levels at the four campuses.

The University is a modern, forward looking and an extremely friendly place to study with a strong tradition of sporting achievement and offers a wide range of sports clubs; with high profile, sporting awards ceremonies and an innovative sports scholarship scheme all contribute to this important aspect of university life.
