Advanced Composites and Polymers

The course draws upon internationally recognised research within the school in areas such as composites, aerospace metal forming, medical device manufacture, advanced coatings and nanotechnology. The course also benefits from the wide range of industrial expertise present within the school.

Entry requirements

PgDip: an honours or non-honours degree or postgraduate diploma/certificate in a relevant engineering or technology discipline; MSc: a second class honours degree or better in a relevant engineering, science, physics or technology discipline; or a postgraduate diploma/certificate in a relevant engineering or technology discipline.

Course modules

Core modules: Manufacturing systems; computer aided engineering; quality improvement. Optional modules: Biomaterials; entrepreneurship; composite engineering; polymer technology; micro- and nano-scale fabrication; nanoscale analysis and metrology; process product optimisation; tissue engineering.
