Biomedical Science

This course allows specialisation in either: Cellular pathology; clinical chemistry; haematology; or medical microbiology; and provides the opportunity for critical reflection and evaluation of current practice and policy; enabling lifelong learning; professional development in biomedical science. In semester 1 students study their chosen specialist taught module (30 credit point weighting); plus a 15 credit point module in biostatistics and research methods and a further 15 credit points in either DNA technology, or quality management or introduction to stratified medicine and pharmacogenomics.
