This programme offers a wide range of fully online postgraduate modules which are available to students to study on an individual basis; modules are designed for environmental practitioners and those who through postgraduate education aspire to develop their portfolio of skills and understanding in the direction of environmental science and the management of environmental resources; candidates should be interested in natural and managed environmental systems and have experience and educational qualifications allowing them to benefit at postgraduate level; if a module is successfully completed this can be 'cashed in' towards an academic award within five years; all short courses are validated at an appropriate academic level and number of credit points.

Entry requirements

Applicants must hold a degree in a science related subject or equivalent or demonstrate their ability to undertake the course through the accreditation of prior experiential learning; international students: IELTS overall band 6.0 with no contributing band less than 5.5 or TOEFL 550 in the paper based-test.

Course modules

Modules offered include: environmental impact assessment; biodiversity management; pollution monitoring; environmental data analysis; environmental toxicology; water management; management of coastal water resources; geography and management of coastal land resources.
