Tourism Destination Management

The programme prepares applicants to be operationally and strategically effective in the administration and management of tourism destination organisations, and also to be appropriately prepared to undertake continual professional development using a range of intellectual and study skills; a key feature of the programme is the live industry project, undertaken overseas during the programme for an external organisation, which involves students directly applying skills and knowledge developed in the programme to a tourist destination.

Entry requirements

A 2.2 Honours degree from a recognised institution.

Course modules

Destination marketing; dynamics of tourism; live project; the international tourism planning and policy environment; tourism destination histories; tourism planning techniques; Master's dissertation.
