Marketing Management for Events, Hospitality and Tourism

The focus of the programme lies in effective marketing management practices, including studies in consumer behaviour, marketing planning techniques and the use of integrated marketing communication strategies. Course participants have the opportunity to undertake projects in a live marketing environment and act as consultants to develop strategies and marketing plans for clients. The course encompasses a corporate teambuilding event focussing on developing graduate attributes to a high level.

Entry requirements

MA: a good honours degree or equivalent from a recognised institution. PG Diploma: a degree and/or equivalent or at least 5 years' appropriate management experience.

Course modules

Core modules: consumer dynamics; integrated marketing communications; global marketing; events, hospitality and tourism dynamics; marketing planning and analysis; masters dissertation. Optional: destination marketing; strategic brand management.
