University for the Creative Arts
This programme is designed to develop students' understanding of contemporary issues in urban design, planning, and urbanism through sustained engagement with creativity activity.
A good Honours degree (normally 2.1 or above) or equivalent qualification in architecture, planning, landscape architecture or a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience, demonstrating the ability to study at postgraduate level. Applicants may be invited to interview and asked to present a portfolio of work. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum 5.5 in each component) or equivalent.
Stage 1: urban contexts and methods; exploratory practice. Stage 2: project development. Stage 3: final project.
Assessment includes evidence of experimentation and research in the form of design proposals, reviews, presentations, exhibitions of work, reflective journals and written papers.
