University for the Creative Arts
Students on this course make objects, experiment with materials and processes and develop their creative thinking. Throughout the course, students also experience working closely alongside other fields such as textiles, ceramics, metalwork and glass.
A good Honours degree (normally 2.1 or above) or equivalent qualification in a chosen subject or a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience, demonstrating the ability to study at postgraduate level. Applicants will be required to attend an applicant day and bring a portfolio for assessment.
Stage 1 studio practice, theory and analysis; exploratory practice. Stage 2: reflective practice. Stage 3: final project.
Practical and theoretical work is assessed. This may include artifacts, test pieces, essays, presentations, research papers or catalogues, research journals and sketch books and experimentations.
