Fashion Promotion and Imaging

This course offers the opportunity for postgraduate study in a range of disciplines within the context of fashion. Students define their area of interest while attending lectures, seminars and workshops by fashion specialists and practitioners, covering a broad range of fashion-related topics. The ethos is based on the premise of promoting a creative and in-depth investigation of fashion in a social context.

Entry requirements

A good Honours degree (normally 2.1 or above) or equivalent qualification in a chosen subject or a related discipline including fashion promotion and communication, fashion design and graphic design qualifications, and/or relevant work experience, demonstrating the ability to study at postgraduate level. Applicants may be invited to interview and to present a portfolio of work. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum 5.5 in each component) or equivalent.

Course modules

Stage 1: research and method; exploratory practice. Stage 2: Reflection and development; professional practice and creative project management. Stage 3: Final project.

Assessment methods

Students are assessed on evidence of their knowledge, understanding through application of ideas, research and methodological structure and their technical and applied skills.
