Art and Business

This programme will appeal to students who wish to embark on careers in the art and heritage business. It is designed for students with a background in either history of art or business. The course is delivered as a collaboration between leading commercial professionals and academics. It provides a choice of approach to commercial issues in art history, heritage, and to business specialisms.

Entry requirements

Candidates must normally have an Honours degree to at least 2.1 standard in an appropriate discipline or equivalent qualifications and experience. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require proof of English language proficiency.

Course modules

Art and Business; Business economics; accounting and finance for managers; marketing communications; business model innovation and the leadership challenge; cultural property issues: law, art and museums.

Assessment methods

Assessment is based on written work (essays /exams) and moderated according to university standards. Oral presentation skills are developed.
