Scandinavian Studies (Viking and Medieval Studies)

A specialist, interdisciplinary programme investigating the history, language, literature, religion, culture and society of Viking and Medieval Scandinavia. This MLitt will appeal to you if you are interested in the history, language and culture of the Scandinavian-speaking peoples and particularly if you wish to gain an interdisciplinary insight to this field of research. The programme offers you training and thematic courses as well as specialist supervision for an 18,000 word dissertation of your own choice. It is an ideal choice if you want to continue with postgraduate study to PhD level as well as if you are interested and simply want to learn more.
