Advanced Professional Studies

The programme helps teachers and other educational practitioners to develop the advanced knowledge, capacities and qualities associated with professional excellence and advanced professional practice.

Entry requirements

Applicants must provide evidence of ability to work at postgraduate level; applicants must have previous relevant experience and be able to undertake studies and related developments in their workplace setting or other appropriate agency.

Course modules

Modules include: Personal effectiveness and professionalism; education for the global society; enhanced practice in learning and teaching; professional enquiry; exploring professionalism and educational leadership; dissertation or work-based project.

Assessment methods

Assessment is formative and through assignments.
