Enhanced Professional Practice
The programme is designed for early career teachers and aims to extend their professional knowledge and understanding, skills and attributes with a view to increasing effectiveness in classroom practice and the achievement and attainment of children and young people. The programme provides an opportunity for new teachers to continue to develop an open and questioning mindset through an enquiry and workplace practice-based approach enabling them to embrace change, challenge and opportunity. Participants will further develop their skills as reflective and enquiring practitioners whilst working as a member of teacher learning groups.
A good relevant degree is required.
Modules cover: Enhancing professional practice through self evaluation, critical reflection and professional learning; enhancing professional practice through research; enhanced evidence-based cross-curricular practice; enhanced practice in learning and teaching; exploring difference and diversity; mentoring and coaching in professional contexts; professional biography.
