TESOL

The course is for aspiring professionals who wish to develop their knowledge of and skills in teaching English as a second or foreign language with a view to pursuing a career in the field.

Entry requirements

Students are required to have a good 2.1 degree in English language, English language and literature, English linguistics or a related degree (subject to approval of the admissions officer). They are also required to have a minimum of 6.5 in IELTS with at least a 6.0 in writing and reading.

Assessment methods

Assessment is by a combination of coursework, written and oral examinations and by preparation of an acceptable portfolio of documents on language acquisition and language teaching methods and practice.

There are various sources of funding to support you during your period of study. We have a number of scholarships and bursaries available to our students, and external sources of funding available.
