International Law and International Relations
The programme is open to students with a 2.1 Honours degree in law (or another related discipline) or equivalent. Even if you have been educated in the medium of English you must meet our English language requirements (certain countries may be exempted from this requirement).
International law: a time of challenges; and; theory and concepts of international relations; and; critical legal thinking and scholarship; and; llm dissertation; law options: the law of international organisations; the use of force in international law; international human rights law; international relations options; Latin America: security conditions and challenges; dimensions of globalisation; sex, gender, violence: critical approaches.
Assessment is based on a combination of coursework submitted during the semester and a written examination at the end of the relevant semester. In addition, students must complete a course in research skills and a dissertation on a topic within the specialism The dissertation is submitted at the beginning of September. Guidance on the writing of a dissertation is given.
