The programme is aimed at graduates who have basic computer literacy skills, but have their first degree in an area other than computer science.

Entry requirements

Honours degree and basic level of computer literacy.

Course modules

Semester 1: introduction to database systems; systems analysis and design; electronic society; foundations of computing science; semester 2: human-computer interaction; web technology; web application development; enterprise computing and security; only candidates who complete the above programme at an appropriate standard are allowed to progress to the MSc stage; project in information technology (MSc)

Assessment methods

Assessment is carried out by means of written examination, continuous assessment of practical work, and project work.
