Sustainability and Management
This course has been designed to provide students with a deep awareness and critical appreciation of the importance of sustainability issues relating to corporate social responsibility; at the same time, this degree develops skills in the core business disciplines.
Candidates for this postgraduate management programme should have a good undergraduate degree, 2.1 or above or its international equivalent; English language skills are also crucial; a threshold level of 7.0 in the IELTS exam (with no less than 6.5 in each of the 4 components listening, reading, writing and speaking), or PTE Academic: an overall score of 69 with no less than 62 in any element.
Semester 1: marketing; business economics; human resource management; operations management; business ethics. Semester 2: methods of management research; strategies for sustainability; principles of corporate social responsibility; environmental management; global governance and accountability. Dissertation period: project/dissertation units.
A variety of individual and group assessment methods are used throughout the degree including assignments, exams, presentations, reports and exercises.
