This course aims to help students gain an advanced level proficiency in computer science and internet applications; students on this course study to a high level on: online databases; intelligent agents; programming; cryptography and cryptanalysis; network systems; distributed and parallel architectures; systems architecture and professional project management; the course also actively seeks to enhance students' employability through working on such key areas as: problem solving, communication skills and teamwork.

Entry requirements

A good UK Honours degree or equivalent in a computing-related subject. Those applicants who do not have a 1st degree may be granted entry on the basis of their work experience. Such work experience must total 5 or more years and be relevant to the degree.

Course modules

Cryptography and cryptanalysis; distributed and parallel architectures; intelligent agents; project; network systems; professional project management; programming embedded systems; systems architecture.

Assessment methods
