International Tourism Management

The course provides the specialist knowledge and skills required to succeed at a senior management level within a sport and leisure organisation.

Entry requirements

A good Honours degree or equivalent in a relevant study area. Students whose 1st language is not English should have an IELTS score of 6.0.

Course modules

Compulsory modules include: contemporary issues in tourism; dissertation; international tourism development; international tourism marketing; research philosophies and principles; research practice in tourism; strategic tourism and hospitality management. Optional modules include: event tourism; impacts of sport events; planning for leisure and tourism provision; sport tourism; stewardship, tourism and the environment; themes and perspectives of the sport and leisure industry; worldmaking: tourism and globalisation.

Assessment methods

Assessment consists of coursework and examinations.
