Engineering Business Management
This course is a specialist Master's course which enables students to become an effective manager in a knowledge-based global economy; the approach is both multi-disciplinary and international, enabling critical thinking and creativity in analysis, synthesis and appraisal; the course takes a holistic view of engineering systems and incorporates critical areas for building and managing future-focused engineering businesses; there are a number of critical topics incorporated, including: lean operations; 6 sigma quality management; technology management and production systems management; students develop their abilities in analysing problems logically and apply decision-making skills to reach feasible, realistic solutions.
Good Honours degree in a relevant subject.
Modules include: Business research methods; contract and procurement management; engineering business management project; financial analysis; operations management; production systems management; project management; risk and quality management; strategic technology management; the human side of management.
