International Business Law

The course covers areas such as legislation of financial markets, corporate governance, international commercial litigation and international human rights.

Entry requirements

LLB or Joint Law degree with minimum of 2nd Class Honours. UK degree holders in disciplines other than law with sufficient and adequate legal content on the basis of individual results and experience. Applicants whose 1st language is not English should have an IELTS score of 6.0.

Course modules

Compulsory modules: advanced legal research methods; corporate governance and company law; current legal issues in the business arena; international business and corporate social responsibility; the dissertation. Optional modules: EU free trade law and fundamental freedoms; international aviation law; international commercial litigation; international employment law; investment treaty arbitration; Islamic commercial law.

Assessment methods

Oral presentations and essays and problem questions.
