International Commercial Dispute Resolution Law

This course covers topics such as international commercial litigation and arbitration; the European internal market; investment treaty arbitration; and international children's rights.

Entry requirements

LLB or Joint law degree with minimum of 2nd Class Honours. UK degree holders in disciplines other than law with sufficient and adequate legal content on the basis of individual results and experience. Applicants whose 1st language is not English should have an IELTS score of 6.0.

Course modules

Compulsory modules: advanced legal research methods; international commercial arbitration; current legal issues in the business arena; international business and corporate social responsibility; dissertation. Optional modules: EU free trade law and fundamental freedoms; international aviation law; international commercial litigation; international employment law; investment treaty arbitration; Islamic commercial law.

Assessment methods

Oral presentations and essays and problem questions.
