Pentecostal and Charismatic Studies
This programme is a research degree that includes taught components. It may be followed as an end in itself, but also provides an excellent foundation for subsequent doctoral research. The MRes comprises 4 components; a compulsory research methodology module, 2 optional modules and a 20,000 word thesis.
Normally a 2.1 degree in a relevant discipline is required for entry. English requirements are: IELTS 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in any band, TOEFL 88 overall with no less than 21 in Reading, 20 in Listening, 22 in Speaking, 21 in Writing, or PTE Academic 59 in all 4 skills.
Core module: Research methods. Optional modules: For your 2 optional modules you may choose from any of the other M-Level modules offered on the MA in evangelical and charismatic studies or from the other M-level modules offered within the School of Philosophy, Theology and Religion or, where appropriate, from other schools in the College of Arts and Law. The following modules are recommended: History of global pentecostalism; pentecostal charismatic theology in context.
