Foundation modules: process engineering fundamentals (may not be taken by someone with a chemical engineering or related degree); bioscience for graduates from other scientific disciplines (may not be taken by someone with a bioscience or related degree).
Core modules: modern genome-based bioscience; measurement techniques; colloids and rheology; supplementary colloids and rheology; molecular delivery; supplementary molecular delivery; mathematical modelling of time-dependent processes; developing food structure through thermal processing; hygienic food processing; food flavour; manufacturing principles in pharmaceutical production; from bench to market: the development of pharmaceutical drug products; design and development of drug delivery systems; particle technology; food structure change through physical processing: low water content (Nottingham); biological product formation and delivery (UCL); clean technology and sustainability (Surrey).
Management and marketing skills modules: effective project management; business methods and industrial economics; marketing and quality management.
