Radio Frequency and Microwave Engineering
This programme provides training for engineers to become innovators in these rapidly expanding markets. A firm grasp of the fundamentals is established through modules in the foundations of communications engineering and in satellite, cellular and optical fibre communications, electromagnetics and antennas, propagation, radio frequency and microwave engineering and computer and communications networksprovide advanced knowledge in an aspect of the relevant component technologies.
At least a lower 2nd class Honours degree in computing, electrical engineering, electronic engineering from a university of high international standing. Standard English language requirements apply
introductory module for communications; principles of communication systems; electromagnetics, antennas and propagation; RF and microwave engineering; individual project; cross programme options; satellite, cellular and optical fibre communications; computer and communications networks; RF sensor systems.
Assessment is by a combination of written examination and course work.
