Operations Management (Engineering)

Applicants learn to how to analyse various systems, practices and procedures employed in the management of operations, design such systems from new, evaluate and report on their effectiveness and appropriateness and assess real organisations from a practical operations management perspective.

Entry requirements

At least an 2.1 Honours degree in engineering, mathematics, statistics, computer science, information systems or similar. Standard English language requirements apply.

Course modules

Systems thinking; finance and core skills; construction management; operations management; eng. production in construction systems engineering; strategic management; infrastructure development planning; simulation; management information systems; marketing; research skills; dissertation.

Assessment methods

Dissertation.

Funding is available as quota of grants from various bodies, and the awards are available to suitably qualified and eligible students; details made available on application, on an individual case basis.
