This programme is designed to enable students to further develop their knowledge of current health care at the depth and breadth appropriate to Master's level work.
Admission to the programme is on the basis that applicants will have a BSc/BA Honours degree or equivalent. The degree should normally be a 1st or upper 2nd class Honours degree. You will also need to submit the following documentation in support of your application: 2 academic/employer references in support of your application and professional and practical capabilities; ranscripts of your degrees so far (certified and translated in to English if appropriate). English language requirements IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum of 6.0 in each component) or TOEFL Internet based 88 overall with no less than no less than 21 in Reading, 20 in Listening, 22 in Speaking, 21 in Writing.
3 mandatory modules: Developing evidence based practice; advancing practice through personal and professional development; research dissertation. In addition, students choose 4 option modules. Optional modules within nursing and physiotherapy (no pre-requisites): Current issues in health; project management and research governance; work based continuous professional development. Optional modules within nursing and physiotherapy: From neurons to society; specialist neurological rehabilitation 1: cognitive neuropsychological basis of practice; advanced manipulative physiotherapy 1; advanced manipulative physiotherapy 2.
Students are assessed in a variety of ways, and these may be different with each modules that they take.
Scholarships may be available to home and international students.
