Primary Care and Clinical Sciences
Primary care research focuses upon 3 main clinical areas: Cardiovascular disease; cancer and chronic disease; behavioural medicine and mental health research. Our research crosses all stages of the translational spectrum, from early stage studies through to implementation research and service delivery research. We do research on devices, pharmacological, psychological, and organisational interventions to improve health.
An Honours degree (normally a 1st or Upper 2nd class honours degree or equivalent) in a relevant subject awarded by an approved university, or attainment of an alternative qualification or qualifications and/or evidence of experience judged by the University as indicative of an applicant�s potential for research and as satisfactory for the purpose of entry to a research degree programme. Admission and registration for a research degree programme may be conditional on satisfactory completion of preliminary study, which may include assessment. Applicants may, if they live in the UK, be invited for an interview or to visit to discuss their application. English requirements are: IELTS 7.0 with no less than 6.5 in any band, TOEFL 95 overall with no less than 22 in any band, or PTE Academic 67 in all 4 skills.
