International Relations (International Political Economy)

This programme covers the theoretical foundations of International Political Economy, including the origins, structure and politics of the contemporary global market economy; it also explores changes to the global political and economic order, and a range of issues that are central to the study of contemporary International Political Economy; issues and topics examined include: theoretical and critical approaches to the study of international political economy; international economic organisations and regimes; global economic crises and recovery; development, poverty and inequality; gender issues in the global economy; economic growth and environmental sustainability; intellectual property rights in the global economy; the political economy of food security.

Entry requirements

A good Honours degree or its equivalent; for those whose 1st language is not English, a TOEFL or IELTS Certificate is required.
