International Relations (Research Methods)
This programme offers rigorous specialist training for students wishing to prepare for advanced research in international relations, particularly at the doctoral level; it offers the introduction to methods and approaches in international relations that will equip students to plan and execute their own extended research projects; issues and topics examined can include: approaches to social science research; data analysis in international relations; philosophy of social science in an international relations context; conceptions of power; issues of gender in global politics; diplomacy and state security.
A good Honours degree or its equivalent; for those whose 1st language is not English, a TOEFL or IELTS Certificate is required.
