Global Cooperation and Security

We live in an age where there is an urgent need for cooperative responses to address major global security challenges, as well as to transform intractable inter-state and intrastate conflicts. This programme responds to that need by providing students with an advanced interdisciplinary training in the theory and practice of global cooperation and conflict transformation.

Entry requirements

For the MSc programme applicants require a good Honours degree or its equivalent. For those whose 1st language is not English, a TOEFL or IELTS Certificate is required. Entry at Graduate Diploma level is possible for those with a reasonable 1st degree. Graduate Diploma students can upgrade to the Msc on satisfactory examination performance.

Course modules

Core modules include: theories of global cooperation; global cooperation in practice; trust-building and conflict transformation. Specialist pathways cover development and security; international relations political economy; security in Russia and Eurasia; social science research training.
